Everybody starts Talking
Over the last few weeks I have been reading a bit more on the ‘age of conversation’. There are many articles which scratch the surface, but lack a clear focus on the topic. This post offers some good starting points to start grasping some of the societal changes we seems to be facing.
The big Change
To start of with and introduce the topic have a look at the short video below (~15 min). Author Clay Shirky of “Here Comes Everybody” is one of the few people who a) understand the current changes and b) is able to explain these topics to a broader audience.
Us vs. Them
So more and more people are entering the game, and pick-up the microphone to start talking (or singing for that matter). A movie (~2 hours) completely published online talks about just that:
Us Now: “A film project about the power of mass collaboration, government and the internet”

Critique
Not everybody agrees or likes that everybody is joining in the conversation. One of the most well know critics is Andrew Keen. He wrote “The Cult of the Amateur” — I guess I am one of those amateurs.
Want more?
Well there is more, much more! But that is journey you have to make by yourself.
