Video: Gifford on True Tuesday
It seems Dutch media-companies are flooding Silicon Valley by interviewing tech folks. This video is part of series made by Dutch hosting company True and is called True Tuesday. Below I’ve embedded the 2nd part of an interview with Michael Gifford with some valuable insights. Mr. Gifford has considerable experience on the hardware-side of media technology (e.g. SUN, Apple, Microsoft). His shares some of his experience. Such as on the value of large companies in having a process to bring a product to the consumer, and the value of speed of execution typical in start-up environments. Gifford ends his talk by mentioning that at the moment the game console guys (e.g. Xbox) seem to be the fittest of the game. Since they master the successful integration of hardware, software, user experience and partnerships (i.e. content).
