Just by a random internet wandering I stumbled upon La Citta Mobile. A project/collective based in Eindhoven which stimulate creative disciplines to meet and share ideas on how construct and deconstruct a temporary city. Hence the title la citta mobile, the mobile city. (The yearly exodus of Dutch designers to Milan for the Salone del Mobile is clearly leaving its traces)

La Citta Mobile is currently exhibiting on the Dutch Design Week 2010 (until 31th of October) — which I hope to visit. On their blog I found an interesting video, of which I’ve pasted a short trailer below. The full documentary can be found on powerofcommunity.org.

As a designer however I wonder if this type of tool is solving the right problem. If somebody for example is unable to find a certain product on your website, isn’t this because you haven’t designed your website well enough?

Personally I find the current economical situation highly fascinating. Not only because it has such a huge influence on society. Basically the top of the financial world holds the rest of the world in deadlock. But it seems primary economical models are rapidly deterioration (capitalism/free market), and economical experts are contradicting each other. However since our current economy is so complex and opaque, it is an almost impossible task to really understand what is going on.
