Funny video by NY Times tech-columnist David Pogue on the possible futures of television. The most interesting thing from the video is Pogue’s casual comment ‘unemployment is at a all-time high… so give those people something to watch‘.
This made me think about the necessity of television in general and the focus our techo-elite assumes in modern day society. Perhaps the techno-elite, as Jolie O’Dell advocated, ought to focus on more urgent matters.
Over the last weeks I’ve met a web development agency which recently made the switch to the Scrum development process. And perhaps by coincidence last week a high profile Dutch agency (Fabrique) presented their experience with this process. Apart from the fact that this is a good, perhaps slightly delayed, software development trend. The problem/challenge currently lies in educating customers. Perhaps this is also the reason why the following presentation is so good — Fabrique has been explaining Scrum to its customers already for some time now. Anyhow this presentation is an absolute must to form a ‘mental image’ of the scrum agile process.
