Imagine you end up by some stroke of luck or faith in Utrecht (NL). The 4th largest city in the Netherlands — in reality the city centre is tiny. Remember we are talking about the Netherlands so forget *real* cities like São Paulo, Istanbul, or Mumbai.

Utrecht is they would call in Italian a misura d’uomo — people friendly. It would be even more appropriate to call it a bike-friendly city just like its big brother Amsterdam. Most things are easy reached by bike — just make sure you use a decent lock.

The other day I found these wicked descriptions of ‘indie’ over at the [urbandictionary](http://www.urbandictionary.com/define.php?term=indie). You should read them for yourself but this one I particularly liked:

**The state of being ‘indie’:
1. Being unable to talk to anyone about your music.
2. But knowing that — in the process — you’re way cooler than the kids you try to talk to about it.**
